Residential CCTV installation

Thoughtfully positioned cameras for your home, driveway and garden, with simple recording and remote viewing.

A clear view of your home

A home CCTV system should help you see what matters without making your property feel like a fortress. We start with entrances, access routes, parked vehicles and any areas you are particularly concerned about.

A wide overview of a garden has a different purpose from recognising someone at a door. We select positions and lenses around the detail each view needs to capture.

Discreet by design

Camera placement, cable routes and the recorder location are planned together. Wherever practical, we use existing routes and choose unobtrusive positions while keeping equipment accessible for maintenance.

For traditional stone buildings, listed properties or homes in a conservation area, mounting and cabling need extra consideration. We discuss consent requirements before work begins.

Reliable recording, simple access

Modern IP and PoE systems can record locally to an NVR. A wired camera connection avoids reliance on Wi-Fi at each position. Suitable low-light or infrared cameras are chosen for the actual lighting at your property.

If you want remote viewing, we configure the compatible app and explain live view, playback, account protection and how to share access carefully.

What affects the price?

Camera count, image detail, cable lengths, access equipment and storage all affect the quotation. We explain the recommended work and any options so you can compare the scope clearly.

Privacy is part of a good installation

We aim views at your own property and avoid unnecessary coverage of neighbours or public areas. If a camera captures beyond your boundary, data protection duties may apply. Read our home CCTV guide for the starting points.

Questions about this service

How much does CCTV installation cost?

The price depends on the number of cameras, the detail you need to capture, cable routes, access equipment and recording storage. A survey lets us give you a clear, property-specific quote rather than an unsuitable off-the-shelf price.

Can I view my cameras from my phone?

Yes. A compatible recorder and an internet connection can provide remote viewing through a phone or tablet app. We configure access securely and show you how to use live view and playback.

Can CCTV work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Wired PoE cameras carry power and video over network cable. They can record to a local NVR without Wi-Fi or internet. An internet connection is needed for remote viewing away from the property.

Does CCTV work at night?

Suitable cameras can record using infrared or low-light technology. The right choice depends on available light, viewing distance and the level of detail needed. We assess the actual scene rather than relying on a headline night-vision range.

How many cameras does my property need?

Start with what you need to see: the front entrance, driveway, side access, rear garden or work areas. Camera count follows the views you need and the shape of the property. More cameras do not automatically mean better coverage.
